I have been selling real estate full-time on the mid-peninsula since 2004 with Keller Williams Realty. I chose to join Keller Williams for its education-based and cultural model. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of San Mateo since 2006 and served as the Rotary President for 2017-2018. Giving back to the community is important to me and I find joy doing this through my annual sponsorships and volunteering for various community events, e.g., the Central Park Music Series, Baywood Elementary School Auction Fundraiser, San Mateo on Ice, Police Activities League (PAL). My involvement with these organizations has helped grow my business and name recognition while doing what I love and value most, serving my clients and my community.
 

Amy Cook is the Founder of Maven Lane Financial Group. Amy joined Waddell & Reed as a Financial Advisor in 2009, after having worked predominantly in Real Estate for the beginning of her career. In 2020, Waddell & Reed was acquired by LPL Financial, and Amy o­fficially transitioned to becoming an LPL Financial Advisor in July, 2021.

Hi, my name is Anita Varelas. From the very early days of my career, I realized that most referral businesses do a less than thorough service of placing seniors in their new Bay Area homes. That’s why I founded Neighborly Senior Placement, which is my dream come true.

With my industry experience and vast network of senior living colleagues, I am in a unique position to help seniors and their families to find the Bay Area senior living communities that best suit their wants and needs.

I was lucky to have grown up around not only my grandparents, but also my great grandparents. My parents led by example in honoring the seniors who lived around us.

My professional journey began with a part-time job for an assisted living community. As a young waitress, I also volunteered my time to learn everything that I could from the sales team. This led to increasingly responsible roles in all areas of operations and sales. Eventually, I was promoted to Sales Director.

Since then, I’ve worked as Regional Sales Director for senior living companies in California, Oklahoma, and Texas. Along the way, I received my Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) license and my certification in Gerontology and dementia care.
