GUEST SPEAKER:   Anthony Kinslow II, PhD,  Founder and CEO of Gemini Energy Solutions
 

Anthony Kinslow II, Ph.D. purpose in life is making a meaningful impact toward mitigating global warming. Inspired by watching “An Inconvenient Truth”, he has spent the last 13 years working toward making a meaningful impact through researching, implementing, and educating on energy efficiency culminating in the founding of Gemini Energy Solutions. Gemini provides a suite of services for the underserved small commercial sector to support their efforts to meet their climate change goals and increase economic resiliency through energy efficiency. 

Born in Nashville, TN and raised in Baltimore, MD; Anthony holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a M.S. in Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford. Anthony earned his PhD from Stanford University in energy efficiency analytics. 

He currently resides in Foster City, CA with his wife Maria (another Stanford PhD) and son, Marcus Alexander Kinslow. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys mentoring high school and college students. Anthony’s favorite quote also reflects the way he lives his life,

Overview:
Sustainable energy is the practice of using energy to meet current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Many see focusing on sustainable energy as a luxury. And for a long time it was. However, thanks to advancements in technology and financing, that has changed. Now, focusing on sustainable energy is just good business practice saving you money, increasing your businesses resilience, and improving the quality of your space. This presentation will introduce practical knowledge of energy efficiency that can be applied to both your home and business. In addition, you will learn of available financing, tax credits, and resources that will make your sustainable energy efforts simpler, easier, and cheaper.
