Ilana Shapiro Yahdav, MPA, is an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, passionate about healing the world, one heart at a time. Ilana founded her company, The Non-Linear Journey, LLC, named for her father who, as he was dying often said, “time is non-linear, I’ll always be with you.” Her focus is to meet grieving people exactly where they are and support and guide them through their grief journey. She works with individuals both in-person, online, and in groups.
Kim Hanlon is a Health Educator and certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist who provides powerfully healing grief support within a warm, safe, calm environment to help clients gain closure, and regain life energy and creativity. Kim is a UC Berkeley graduate who eventually continued her education to receive a MA in Holistic Health Education from John F. Kennedy University (completed in 2015) and certification as a Grief Recovery Method Specialist™.
Grief is more than death or divorce. It’s pet loss, moving, and retirement, as well as intangible losses such as loss of independence, mobility, community, and agency. It’s all the changes due to a pandemic, change in daily routine, decreased feelings of safety and an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. You may not realize how grief impacts your business and your clients. Embracing grief as it comes up will not only strengthen you personally but help establish yourself as a trusted professional and increase client loyalty and safety. We will cover tips and tools based on the evidence-based Grief Recovery Method so you can navigate these situations, prevent compassion fatigue, and build your business even stronger than before in the process.
Main takeaways from the session:
=> Identify grief, loss and the ways it manifests
=> Discover how grief impacts your business and client interactions
=> Utilize Tools to support your grieving clientele and their families
