Business Essentials: Family Decision Making: Options to Protect Your Loved One During a Pandemic
GUEST SPEAKER: Kathy C. Faenzi, MA Clinical Gerontologist, Faenzi Associates
Kathy Faenzi, Clinical Gerontologist, is an advocate and consultant in the field of aging. Kathy initially meets with clients for a thorough consultation to explore challenging situations and goals for aging successfully. Following the discovery session, she can provide a clinical assessment to develop a working action plan focused on immediate and long- term solutions for the care recipient. Kathy provides compassion and a deep understanding of how the aging process affects both the individual and family members.
Her business, Faenzi Associates focuses on providing senior care management and transition counseling for the older adult and their family.
♥ Master of Arts degree in Clinical Gerontology with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont, CA
♥ Bachelor of Arts in General Studies, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC
Kathy is available to share her expertise and knowledge in the field of aging. She offers a variety of insight into the aging process and teaches communication techniques when working with the individual experiencing memory loss. She is available as a panelist, trainer, lecturer and educator.
If a family member is already providing caregiving to a loved one and a change in the care plan needs adjusting or if circumstances thrust your family into a group caregiving role, making sound well thought out decisions as a group can be fraught with difficulty. Families need to collaborate, problem solve, and come to a consensus around decisions before a caregiving plan is initiated or revised. I will share best practice tips for families to consider when making reality - based decisions for their loved one.
