2023 Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame will induct its latest group of honorees on the evening of June 22 at the San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City. The reception will begin at 5:30pm followed by a program at 6:30pm.

This year’s honorees are:

• David Bakhtiari: A Serra High School graduate, he is a star offensive lineman with the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers.
• Nicole Quigley-Borg: An alum of Capuchino High School and College of San Mateo, she is the head coach of CSM’s state championship softball program.
• Horace Hinshaw: A sports journalism institution in Pacifica, he has written and edited for the coastal community’s weekly newspaper for more than a half-century.
• Mike Lewis: A long-time track and field coach at the College of San Mateo, he has developed dozens of state and nationally-ranked athletes.
• Eddie Mack: An outstanding athlete at San Mateo High School and College of San Mateo, he became a ground-breaking track and field legend at Cal Poly after World War II.
• Maddy Price: A Menlo School alum, she is a world-class track and field standout who competed for the Canadian national team in the most recent Summer Olympic Games.

Tickets are $20 for Museum members and $35 for non-members in advance of the event. Non-members purchasing two or more tickets will receive a complimentary museum membership.
